To secure all components firmly onto the glass, I used this epoxy-based adhesive: https://at.rs-online.com/web/p/epoxidharze-und-epoxidharzkleber/3210799/ My go-to material for polishing is silicon carbide in various granulations: F12, F24, F60, F220, and F800. Typically, I polish up to five parts simultaneously. First, I subject the parts to 12-24 hours of polishing with F12 carbide. The duration depends on geometry and part size; progressively increase granulation levels. For extremely smooth surfaces, I polish for at least six hours per granulation level. Finally, I conclude with a 12-24 hour polishing session using F800. The longer the parts remain in the polisher, the smoother they become – but excessive time will obscure details and round off sharp edges. Depending on drum size and part quantity, I use between 500g to 1kg of polishing sand. I sourced my materials from: http://www.mineraliengrosshandel.com/Siliciumcarbid-Schleifpulver:::50.html
