Reinforced minimal MK8 w/ soft-PLA printing spur
thingiverse
This revamped version of the minimalist MK8 substitute addresses issues found in the original design. After extensive use, the originals experienced "arm fatigue," reducing filament pressure. This affects printing quality, particularly during fast processes. While enhanced iterations (e.g., http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:53125) have resolved these concerns, this design additionally tackles a problem unique to soft/flexible PLA filaments - herniation. The ultra-flexible material can forcefully exit the gap between the hobbit and hot end entry, affecting print quality even at lower temperatures.
