Introducing a revamped hopper version of Lymans v3 filament extruder. The hopper and mount utilize a single large bearing (40mm OD x 17mm ID x 12mm width) to reduce additional parts requirement. It features a Zero-Max torque limiter that prevents failures in both the costly gear motor and printed hopper/base. No more broken couplers! The package includes a motor mount adapter for the superdroid gear motor or an aluminum plate alternative. Additionally, this was my longest and most successful print attempt personally. For optimal performance, print at 100% infill using ABS with rafts and supports. Customize an auger adapter to fit the 17mm ID bore of the large bearing. ABS is recommended due to its easy fusion for repairs and vapor polishing capabilities. The design incorporates a 2mm bottom anti-warp plate, which helps minimize but does not entirely eliminate ABS warping. Expect post-print grinding and sanding.
