Reinforced Dual Fan mount for Prusa i3 MK3S
thingiverse
I wanted to add a dual fan mod to my Prusa i3 MK3s, and liked [SadMoney's remix](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4051777), so I adapted it to fit an i3 MK3S. I used M3x20 screws and M3 hex nuts to mount the fans, two M3x8 button head screws for the mount to the extruder body, and for the original fan support (with a square nut). I re-used the original part cooling fan duct screw and square nut. It'll be easier to mount the bracket/duct, then the fans onto it. Wiring the fans red on red, black on black (in parallel) will have them spin at the same speed. I cut the second fan's wires to length and soldered them onto the original fan's PCB (where the original wires were soldered). Don't solder another yellow wire (signal), one is enough to tell the main-board how fast they are spinning. The setup is clean and didn't require any unwrapping of the harness. If I want to go back to stock, I simply unsolder the two extra wires and refit the original mounting. If printing in ABS, I recommend using localized brims for under the corners.
