Reinforced Blower/Radial Fan Duct (Tevo Tarantula)

thingiverse

A strengthened version of the original duct (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1850163) by supasorn, created after mine broke while installing fans.\nChanges:\nThickened outer walls of ducts from ~0.5mm to ~1.5mm\nStrengthened main brace by 2mm (requires longer screws or using the untested inset screw model)\nAdded and modified fillets in several places to increase part strength\nAll internal dimensions remain the same, but it's much sturdier and has less flex.\nIt should work just as well as the original for cooling.\nThanks to supasorn for creating the original and releasing the Fusion360 file!\nUpdate:\nRecessed hole version tested by oberkorn!\nNew photos show the printed model at 0.2mm layer height with fans enabled\nPrint Settings:\nPrinter: Tevo Tarantula\nRafts: Doesn't Matter\nSupports: No\nResolution: 0.2mm (doesn't matter)\nInfill: 100%\nNotes: Print upside down!\nTook 60 minutes to print at 50mm/s regular speed and 25mm/s outer wall speed sliced by Cura.\nIt should be fine to run faster, my printer just wasn't tuned up yet.\nMine printed better with a raft but it's alright without, given a levelled bed.\nHow I Designed This:\nUsed the Fusion360 file from the original creator and went back through the timeline.\nPress pulled the duct outer walls, added fillets in a few areas, increased fillet radius in others.\nSee the Fusion360 file to see exactly what was done!
