REI Kingdom Table Center Support Pieces

REI Kingdom Table Center Support Pieces

I scored an amazing deal on an REI Kingdom table at the REI garage sale for just $20. The table came with four cross-members that support the ends, but it should have included two end cross-members and two center cross-members equipped with locating pins. To get the correct pieces, I snapped photos of another table in the store to reference later. Using Tinkercad, I designed my own locating pins for the center cross-members, which turned out to be a great idea. Next, I repurposed two extra end cross-members by cutting off the tabs, drilling holes for my custom part, and riveting them onto the table as new center cross-members. The result is perfect - the table works like new and saved me $80 in the process. If you're planning to print your own locating pins, I highly recommend printing with an infill density of over 50% in ABS plastic. In fact, if you know how to adjust the density settings, you can get even better results by printing at 100% for the entire pin.
