Building a 1/48th scale model of the Reggiane 2005 is a great project, but you can also print it at 1/32nd, 1/24th, or even larger scales if you prefer. The Reggiane 2005 was the last aircraft in the Reggiane line to be built during World War II. In 1941, Roberto Longhi and his team began working on this new project, which was completed by the end of that year despite being a completely new design, not an updated version like the Reggiane Re.2002. By February 1942, the airframe was ready, but the DB 605 engine hadn't arrived yet. When it finally did, the Reggiane 2005 turned out to be one of the best Axis aircraft during wartime and also had a sleek, eye-catching design. Its semi-elliptical wings, long nose, and large tail made it instantly recognizable as a nimble fighter.
