Rega Planar 3 turntable lid hinge

My Rega Planar 3 Turntable's hinges broke clean off, leaving me with a lid that's quite a nuisance to deal with. I really love this turntable, but without the hinges it's become a hassle. When removing the old hinge from the lid, be extremely careful as they're fastened with rivets that will need to be removed. I used a drill, flat screwdriver, thin nose pliers, and a bit of patience to take out the hinges from the lid. The lid seems to be made of perspex, which is usually very brittle, so it's essential not to break it. I used PLA for the print, but the bendable part ends up being two layers thick at 0.2mm layer height in the print. I'm pretty sure the printed part won't last with PLA. It'll be worth testing different filaments; please share your results with other materials like ABS, PETG, and so on. To secure the hinges to the lid, you'll need four short 4mm bolts with nuts. Currently, it's fully functional and now also very easy to repair when needed. ### Update: January 9, 2018 Added a version that provides a support to screw an M4 screw directly into the hinge to fasten and ensure that nuts don't hinder 90% of the turntable lid's movement. ### Update: May 7, 2018 Added a hinge holder; I haven't test-printed it yet, so consider this part a work in progress. Let me know if it works for you. After initially printing in PLA, I can confirm that this material is not a good choice and does not last. This is a living hinge, and a flexible filament should be more durable. I found references to polypropylene and polyethylene used for living hinges but am unsure if this material can be used in an FDM Printer. Also, I discovered that the original fasteners are called "eyelets," so you'll need 4mm eyelets, which can be installed with an eyelet punch if desired.
