Refrigerator Handle Lower End Cap

This is a lower end cap for the main door of various refrigerators, including Whirlpool models. You can opt for the Handle End Cap Kit or simply print this design instead. Print Settings Printer: FlashForge Creator Pro Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.20 mm or finer Infill: 30% Notes: Position the part with the business end facing down, just as in the STL file, for maximum strength. A few modifications were made to the original design... I rounded the outer corners of the base because sharp edges look outdated and I prefer consistent widths for printing. The hollow backside was filled in for added strength. Instead of having two flimsy oval protrusions, I chose to fill in the inner plug. This is strike three against built-in obsolescence! Post-Printing The slot is tight. Sand off any burrs on the end of the handle, then work it into the cap. Also trim any bridging incursions at the top and bottom of the arcs until the screw cover fits properly. I printed this in PLA because that's the only black filament I have available. ABS would be softer and easier to trim.
