Refrigerator Door Latch (AKA The Fused Filament Fridge Fix)

This simple latch was designed specifically to keep a refrigerator door firmly closed. In my own apartment, the old fridge wasn't sealing properly anymore, so I came up with this solution: a latch that grips the door tightly and compresses the seal, making it function much more effectively. It also serves as an added security measure, preventing accidental door openings or closings, which could be a concern if you have small children trying to get into the fridge. This problem is particularly relevant for families with young kids who tend to explore every nook and cranny. The latch arm is securely fastened to its mount using an M3x20 bolt and an M3 nut. The mount itself is attached to the refrigerator's side panel with 3/4" double-sided foam tape, which provides a strong yet non-damaging hold. For added protection, the latch guard can be printed in a soft, flexible filament that won't scratch the fridge handle.
