In the optics department, I've got just what you need - a ring that can be attached to the front of your refractor telescope and create star spikes with precision and ease. Some folks might tape dental floss to their scope's front for a similar effect, but this ring lets you do it without any messy taping or attachments. To make it work, simply print out the design, thread some fine string through the holes, and slide it onto your telescope's front. Alternatively, use double-sided tape to stick a piece of solar film over the ring, creating a solar filter for your scope in the process. For added security, line the inside of the ring with something to keep it snugly in place or attach it to your scope using some tape. This particular design is tailored for a WO FLT132 telescope, but feel free to resize it to fit any other model - you might need to drill out the holes slightly if you're making it smaller or create new ones altogether.
