Arsen Avetisian (1971-2004) was an acclaimed Armenian and Russian sculptor of international renown. Born in Armenia into a family deeply rooted in the arts, he naturally followed in their footsteps to pursue a career in art professionally. After completing his studies at Yerevan Art and Theater Institute, Avetisian relocated to St. Petersburg, Russia, to further hone his craft as an artist. His move marked the beginning of a successful journey that saw him become a member of the prestigious Union of Russian Artists. Throughout his illustrious career, Avetisian published over 200 remarkable works, including monumental sculptures in the city of St. Petersburg, where he resided. He participated in more than 100 exhibitions since 1993 and proudly showcased his creations in museums and private collections across numerous countries worldwide. This particular sculpture presents a thought-provoking allegorical image of the philosopher of life - the jester - sitting on a pile of books, intently reflecting on Antoine Exupery's "Little Prince" in his hands.
