Reflecta x7-Scan Diaschnellscanner
thingiverse
I adapted my Reflecta x7-Scan Schnellscanner for rapid scanning of framed slides. My previous points apply mainly to slides as well. This design is intended for 50 mm slide frames. I was unable to determine if Americans use 50 mm slide frames or if theirs are actually 50.8 mm wide, just like they claim - and successfully convinced the rest of the world that 90 mm floppy disks were 88.9 mm wide. Even if the frames are 50.8 mm, there should be enough clearance for wider frames. If not, you should adjust the sizes in the OpenSCAD file or try your luck with the customizer. With this modification, you can feed the slides through the scanner one by one. This design is sized so that when you insert a slide with its right edge flush against the edge of this device, the next slide will be positioned correctly for the camera. Simply stick in one slide, then another, take the picture, then another, and repeat the process. There are two pushers: one to position the last slide, and one to retrieve all the slides.
