ReFiller - Filler-compatible, self-centering filament roller
thingiverse
After a new spool of filament vibrated its way off of the Filler on top of my printer twice in one morning, I decided to fix the problem. This thing is a replacement spindle for Filler and a guide that can be used with both the ReFiller and classic Filler spindles. The spindle is has reasonably high edges to keep the spool from jumping off and a wasp-waist to keep the spool centered on the spindle. The guide is a drop-in replacement for Filler guides. If you are already using Filler, you can print the guide first and swap it out. You can keep using your existing spindle until the new one finishes printing. I have also designed a horizontal 4040 extrusion [mounting arm](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4605405) to use ReFiller on the Ender 3. Printed with a brim on 20% cubic. 15%-25% is a good range for infill density. **Update 3/11/2021** Thanks to dphagan's suggestion, I've uploaded a spindle body/plug combo that uses a hex-shaped plug. The plug comes in two tolerances, a rather tight 0.1mm and a more typical 0.2mm. Printing both will save some time and one of the two ought to fit. Let me know if anyone needs a even tighter tolerance.
