Summary It's truly appalling that a company still manufactures disposable bottles destined for landfills in this era of green technology. My Proposal Design and manufacture a refill cap that fits onto standard 28mm bottle necks, allowing users to reuse their existing disposable bottles. Operation To use the cap, simply screw it on tightly then insert it into an empty Lysol bottle with care. Squeeze the soap in through the rubber seal. Fabrication I created this design using my Ultimaker printer, printing slowly and carefully to ensure a precise stem. To achieve a proper fit, the stem must be as close as possible to the hole size. Some cleaning may be necessary for optimal performance. Material Selection I used PLA with 100% fill to provide added strength during tightening. However, ABS might be a better option due to its flexing properties.
