Reference for CAD: Thickness, Hole diameter and Pillar
thingiverse
Thingiverse user SubSite posted a Thickness Test and Design Reference here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2588605, designed to serve as a handy reference for understanding actual thickness in real life when designing with CAD software. I was impressed by the idea and decided to create a modified version featuring 0.2mm layer height multiples at 0.4, 1.0, 2.0, 3.0, 4.0, and 5.0 mm. Additional pillars and holes were also added as references, ranging from 1.0 to 5.0 mm. Having this reference handy near your PC can be incredibly useful when drawing something, allowing you to get a better feel for the actual thickness of your design.
