Reels Designed Specifically to Fit in Old PLA Storage Containers The design of these reels is tailored to accommodate odds and ends storage within PLA containers that have seen better days. The reels are engineered to meet specific dimensions, including an inner face-to-face diameter of 47mm, an internal boss measuring 105mm, and a total outer diameter of 205mm. Storage compartments within the reel come in three sizes: full drawers measure 46mm high, half drawers stand at 22mm, and third drawers reach a height of 14mm. The angled design allows for six reels to fit snugly around one another, creating an efficient storage solution. To facilitate smooth drawer operation, a 3mm hole is drilled into the reel, permitting the attachment of a hinge bar. A small washer inserted between the half and third drawers simplifies opening and closing these compartments. Additionally, used PLA reels can be modified by drilling holes to accommodate the 3mm hinge bar.
