Reel Adaptors for 26mm spool holder - 45mm - 76mm + parameterized model
thingiverse
**UPDATE: On November 23, 2020, I upgraded the design and associated files from v2 to v3 to add a reinforced rib to the flexible tabs. This makes the tabs much less prone to snapping when flexed. My apologies to those who, like me, experienced breakage with the v2 files.** This is the second generation of my project: 3783495. The design is more straightforward, robust, and verified on my Ender 3. The flexible tabs bend slightly to hold the inside of the reel, so these can be printed in rigid materials like PLA, PETG, or ABS. Again, the centers are sized to fit 26mm Spool Holders. Examples: [thing:3789632](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3789632), [thing:3821380](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3821380), and [thing:3789523](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3789523) I have included the Fusion 360 file from which these specific .stl files were saved, so you can modify them to suit your needs. Hopefully, the instructions below will make sense and work for you. If you need to create an adaptor that fits a hole smaller than 45mm, you'll need to scale up or modify the model. CAUTION: Some filament manufacturers allow a small amount of filament to stick out through the inside of the hub, close to one side. You may find this reduces the hole size on one side of the reel compared to the other. Be sure to measure both sides when choosing which insert size to print.
With this file you will be able to print Reel Adaptors for 26mm spool holder - 45mm - 76mm + parameterized model with your 3D printer.
