Reefer Ship 'Salica Frigo' 1:700 Scale

Now I'm not entirely sure why this specific ship is listed as an example of a reefer ship everywhere, but there are abundant schematics for it which made modelling a whole lot easier.</p><p><a href="http://www.hjbarreras.es/?page=sector-pesquero.2&amp;idp=12">http://www.hjbarreras.es/?page=sector-pesquero.2&amp;idp=12</a></p><p>It's listed as being 133m long, which puts this one at roughly 1:700 at default scale.</p><figure class="image"><img src="https://media.prusaprinters.org/media/prints/154365/rich_content/349d8ef0-7f8e-4407-bed0-54a88b175ff9/schematic.jpg#%7B%22uuid%22%3A%22b7ee1527-7ec3-42aa-9aed-75408cf18901%22%2C%22w%22%3A1291%2C%22h%22%3A842%7D"></figure><p>The way I've test printed is with the hull.stl and separate parts which leaves open spaces for internal lighting, but if you don't plan to do any of that it's probably easier to go with the one with the bridge and some parts already attached.</p><p>The hull_full option may work for resin printers perhaps.</p><figure class="image"><img src="https://media.prusaprinters.org/media/prints/154365/rich_content/f512c005-9da6-444a-bc7e-8fbd0c126668/greenstuff.jpg#%7B%22uuid%22%3A%22252059f3-f481-4800-a8c4-199515fb7d63%22%2C%22w%22%3A1920%2C%22h%22%3A404%7D"></figure><p>I've found that it's possible make quite decent marine growth by mixing:</p><ul><li>baking soda</li><li>green acrylic dye</li><li>wood glue</li></ul><p>And then applying it with a sponge. Layering different colours also adds to the depth of the effect. Otherwise using <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MkeYt2wlKno">scale-a-ton's water technique</a> for the most part.</p>
