REEF BALL FOUNDATION Plaque for wall
thingiverse
This thing was created with Tinkercad using an image generator featuring the inverted logo of the Reef Ball Foundation, cleaned up to select colors. It can be printed in plastic and painted with logo colors before sealing with polyurethane or printed in bronze or copper fill then submerged in a chlorine bleach bath for two days before being sealed with patina-forming polyurethane. For underwater use on Reef Balls designed by the Reef Ball Foundation, it's essential to print in bronze without applying any sealant. Using Tinkercad allows you to add a female metric screw thread to the back and install it with bronze or brass screws for mounting underwater. However, it's crucial not to mix dissimilar metals when printing or corrosion will occur. This plaque is suitable for public aquariums and displays after acquiring free display Reef Balls from the Reef Ball Foundation. Scaling on slicing software should be adjusted according to desired size, but most public displays and typical desktop 3D printers can handle maximum print sizes.
