The goal was to build a simple, non-folding quadcopter for fun flying, keeping the price low and using widely available components. Check out the 3D PDF for an overview - open it in Acrobat Reader. Why ReedQuad260? When I finished building the first prototype, the shape and colors reminded me of a childhood character: See the uploaded pictures. That's when I thought of Reedman! So here comes ReedQuad - that's clear - four motors, 260 motor to motor distance in millimeters. Weight: 423g ready to fly, without landing skids, without Mobius, without Mobius holder. COG: Slightly tail heavy without Mobius; otherwise, it's centered.
