***Update: Check out my Minimalist SMELR Band design, now available in a more compact version here:\r\n\r\nhttps://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4273062\r\n\r\n-------------------------------------------------------\r\n\r\nThis modification builds upon Suraky's original design.\r\n\r\nI've made a key change to the strap band by adding circular cutouts, allowing for reduced material usage during printing. I've tested these modified bands extensively -- they remain strong and flexible enough for repeated use, with added benefits of faster print times due to lower material requirements. The band still showcases impressive resistance to both tensile and torsional stress.\r\n\r\nMy setup features a Lulzbot Mini printer, which limits me to printing one item at a time. I'm using high-quality 3mm HIPS filament for optimal results.\r\n\r\nOn my printer, Suraky's original design consumed approximately 0.6 meters (~5g) of filament and took about 15 minutes per print. In contrast, my modified version requires only 0.55 meters (~4g) of filament and takes 14 minutes to complete.
