Redox handwire keyboard with heat set inserts

I have wanted to build a Redox keyboard for a while but I despise fastening directly into plastic parts for projects like this as I know I will make mistakes and printed parts aren't that forgiving. So I decided to make some simple tweaks to the bases of the Redox Handwire by MattDB to add accommodations for heated inserts. The inserts I modeled for and used are the standard m3 from CNC Kitchen so the parts have been modified to have a 4mm bore to accept them snugly per their specs, but this should work with any 4mm OD heated inserts.Provided your printer is relatively dialed in the parts should all match up without any issues. My test print was done at 80mm/s on a modified ender 3 so it is a little rough around the edges but still fit nicely to ensure proper alignment. Currently I am printing the bases over again in the final filament at 50mm/s to get better finish. I printed in PLA with a 0.4mm nozzle at 0.2 layer height.Temperatures were 215c nozzle and 60c bed.For rigidity I used 5 perimeters and 5 top/bottom layers on all parts and I must say they are pretty solid even with only 10% infill where required. The model does not require any supports but I do recommend them around the bottom edge as the chamfer is slightly difficult as it starts angling right off the bed. I have included the two different top plate variations from the original project in their unmodified state just to make model collection easier for those interested in building one of these for themselves.Original source material and documentation for the rest of the project can be found on the official GitHub page and on MattDB's original Thingiverse listing.https://github.com/mattdibi/redox-keyboardhttps://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2704567I will update with more pictures as the project moves along. If you made it this far you are amazing.
