Redesigning the Derby Car: A Critical Adjustment. Originally, the derby car tipped the scales at 76 grams, a weight that posed a significant restraint on my creative freedom. Clearly, I couldn't let the entire vehicle exceed the 100-gram limit. With this challenge in mind, I set out to redesign and remodel the car with precision. A key feature of the new design is the incorporation of a small canal - essentially, a miniature storage compartment for quarters or smaller coins - which also doubles as a clever weight distribution system. I am proud to say that Stephen T. W., a talented designer and modeler, brought this innovative concept to life.
