This is a versatile mounting tray designed for use with the RECON FT4R receiver, a reliable 4-channel third-party radio control system that seamlessly integrates with Futaba's FASST technology. The tray was custom-created to meet my specific needs as I sought a secure and accessible location to house my RC model boat's receiver, ensuring it remains elevated and protected from potential water damage. By incorporating antenna tube holders into the design, I can confidently remove my high-end Futaba R7008SB receiver from harm's way should my vessel encounter turbulent waters. The tray features an adjustable zip-tie channel, allowing for effortless installation and removal without compromising its structural integrity. To secure the tray to my boat, I employed a robust adhesive technique involving heavy scratching of both surfaces with a box cutter followed by application of Cyanoacrylate glue to fill any gaps, resulting in a durable and long-lasting bond.
