I had an amazing time trying out this snorkel system! I managed to clean and use an inline foam block that came in a box, which worked perfectly with the weedeater type filter. However, I found it easier to attach just the stock air filter unit to the second version of the snorkel, making it simpler to move up the shell pillars. I was thrilled to discover that even when submerging my whole engine under water, it still runs smoothly! Both versions worked flawlessly. If you're interested in seeing the second block design, I've shared photos of it in another section. In this build, I used PLA and PETG materials with 100% infill to create a watertight seal. A 30mm ID radiator hose was used, secured with two zip ties. This allows for easy installation of any filter system using the stock hole patterns on my version 2 snorkel. I love how it's positioned high up, keeping it safe from debris that might fly off the tires and into the snorkel. The snorkel is designed to handle a gear ratio of 120:1 from motors to tires, making it perfect for mudding builds. It also helps make those stock tires dig in as they should, which was one of my main goals.
