Redcat Gen8 Chassis Fender Set

This is a wheel fender designed specifically for the Redcat Gen8 crawler chassis. The design is similar to the RER11320 spare part sold by Redcat Racing, but it was created independently and may not be an exact replica due to the absence of original dimensions. The fenders are intended for installation on the Gen8 chassis and feature a magnet mount hole at the top along with two holes per fender. The diameter of these holes is 10mm, while their depth is 2.6mm. The reason behind creating this wheel fender design lies in the fact that the Redcat Gen8 PACK (PreAssembled Chassis Kit) does not include a set of wheel fenders. The user believes that the chassis looks much better with these fenders and decided to create them themselves. Due to the lack of original parts, many test prints were necessary to verify the design's accuracy. This is an ongoing project; at present, only the front fenders have been completed. However, as of October 31, 2019, the rear fenders have also been finished. It is the designer's opinion that the PACK should include wheel fenders as a standard feature. To install these fenders on the Gen8 chassis, users will need a few M3X10mm long hex round head screws, preferably in black. Since the Gen8 PACK does not include fenders or mounting screws, users must procure them separately and prepare them for installation. For slicing, it is recommended to use the flat face as the bottom surface of the model. When printing, PETG filament is suggested due to its suitable properties.
