Redcat Gen 8 Rear Shorty Battery Conversion
thingiverse
This is a rear shorty battery conversion for the Redcat Gen 8 International Harvester Scout II scale crawler. It was created to help move the battery away from the cockpit area, giving anyone who wants to go "full-scale" more room for interiors, etc. Additional hardware needed: 4pcs: M3x10mm flat head screws 5pcs: M3x12mm flat head screws To install, remove the stock battery tray; there are 6 screws. Since the stock tray plays an integral part in bracing the transmission, a standalone brace is necessary to keep everything structurally sound. You'll need to use 3pcs of M3x12mm flat head screws to secure the Transmission Brace vertically, and you'll re-use the screw from the stock battery tray to secure it to the right side frame rail. Now, you can install the Rear Shorty Battery Mount. Using 2pcs of M3x12mm flat head screws, secure it to the center skid plate. Finally, decide which position you'd like to have the battery tray, and secure it to the mount using 4pcs of M3x10mm flat head screws.
