I challenged myself to build a highly detailed 3D model from scratch within an hour, aiming for simplicity while maximizing visual impact. My goal was to create something stunningly good-looking, yet not overly complicated, that could still hold plenty of intricate details. I chose a sleek red toolbox as my subject, and after 55 minutes of non-stop work, I'm thrilled with the final result. However, as I reflect on the process, I realize there are areas where I can streamline my workflow to achieve even faster turnaround times in the future. One persistent issue I've been grappling with is the need to revisit and rework my UV maps multiple times before arriving at a version that meets my quality standards. This particular model was crafted using Maya and 3D-Coat, two industry-standard tools that allowed me to bring my vision to life.
