Red Ryder Loop Lever
thingiverse
I designed this print myself using Microsoft 3D Builder because I'm still getting familiar with Fusion's ins and outs. To create it, I placed a standard lever on top of a blank sheet of white paper and drew my design with a black sharpie. Next, I exported the image to the software and used its picture tool to turn it into a basic 3D object. After that, I removed some extra details like bumps where the piece fits snugly into its frame. Right now, the print works fine with PLA filament, but it's a bit fragile when you move it side to side, and the edges need some sanding to smooth them out. This is still a work in progress as I'm trying to refine it using Fusion to bevel the edges and make it more polished, plus experimenting with PETG for a sturdier print. Unfortunately, due to school commitments, I didn't get around to posting my design on Thingiverse when I finished it last month. That's when I discovered that the Daisy Company has released their own Loop Lever design for the Red Ryder BB gun. But don't worry, this design is different from theirs, so you can still use your existing model – and personally, I prefer the look of mine!
