Red Ryder "Fiber Sight" and Ghost Ring
thingiverse
I had a brilliant idea when I spotted the fiber optic qualities of TPU filament. I utilized an M2 tap on the front sights and threaded the filament in seamlessly. You could easily use a 2mm drill bit and apply a small dot of super glue to secure the filament firmly in place. To install the new sight, carefully pry off the front site assembly with a flat-blade screwdriver and gently tap it into position. Be certain to remove any BBs from the barrel before installing the new front sight to ensure proper alignment. The sight might not be flush with the barrel sleeve, but that won't affect its performance, so don't force it to fit perfectly – it's not necessary. There's some extra room in the rear sight's through hole for windage adjustments, allowing you to fine-tune your aim. These sights are designed to provide accurate shots at 10 yards, which is probably the practical range of this BB gun, but shortening the stem on the ghost ring could extend the effective range further. With this design, you can still see the old rear sight when adjusting to the lowest setting, and it's not necessary to remove it entirely. I hope you find this modification useful and enjoyable to implement.
