Red Pitaya case
thingiverse
This enclosure is designed for Red Pitaya boards, version 1.0 and 1.1 fitting perfectly inside. A series of ventilation grills ensures proper airflow, making active ventilation an ideal match for this enclosure. Easy access to fast analog SMA connectors is ensured through the design of the housing, making installation a breeze. Optimal results can be achieved by printing with a nozzle diameter of 0.3 millimeters, also allowing for straightforward insertion and secure fixation of Red Pitaya board without requiring any major modifications. Testing the heat dissipation of this enclosure's closed version revealed that even under room temperature conditions, Red Pitaya managed to function successfully albeit I strongly advise against pushing it beyond these limits. In my extensive testing, using this housing with Red Pitaya resulted in continuous operation with no adverse consequences reported thus far. Before inserting your Red Pitaya into the enclosure, make sure to remove its plastic legs. A specially designed fan, measuring 40 by 40 by 10 millimeters and operating at a mere 5 volts, has been utilized for this enclosure's ventilation needs. This fan connects seamlessly to the corresponding pins on Red Pitaya board. Please note that I am not liable for any potential damage that this enclosure might inflict; using it entails taking full responsibility and assuming all associated risks. Special thanks go out to LBM for allowing me access to their printer. Below are the step-by-step instructions to assemble this housing successfully: Red Pitaya Model was created using official documentation for these boards, which allowed for precise rendering of this specific design. Approximately ten prototypes were needed before landing on this current version, aimed at providing seamless and easy Red Pitaya sliding into its base housing enclosure.
