Red Dot Finder Flip-Up Cover
thingiverse
This is a basic flip up front and back cover for this style of red dot finder. It is clipped on and the covers are held in place by friction, therefore requires some elastic deformation during assembly. It is meant to be for people who use this red dot finder on a telescope and replaces the rubber cover that can become hard in cold temperatures and not easy to manipulate with gloves. It protects from fogging and freezing due to radiative cooling. I printed this in bright yellow for easy location in the dark - but this is up to you. I used PETG, and it requires a little force and bending of the arms of the central frame during assembly. This is intentional since the flaps are held in place by friction only. Print without support, parts oriented upside down as shown in the slicer screenshot. The four tabs on the top corners of the central frame are for improved bed adhesion, so you don't need a brim in order to avoid warping and lifting of these small features. After the print, cut them off or leave them in place if they don't bother you.
