Red Baron Hand Launched Glider is a unique PLA/balsa wood hand launched glider that weighs just 11g (.4oz) before balancing. At the helm of his flying doghouse, the Mr. Schulz "Snoopy" character leads this model, designed for indoor and calm outdoor flying. Watch Red Baron Hand Launched Glider's first test flight in a short video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YJ9PGAJr7LM This design combines 3D printed fuselage with balsa wood flight surfaces to minimize weight and boost glide performance. With only three 3D printed fuselage components and three templates for cutting four flight surfaces from 1/32" balsa wood, this model is simple to print, assemble, and fly. Using 3D printed templates for cutting the flight surfaces made it easier knowing I had many more to make. As usual, I likely forgot a file or two, so if you have questions, please don't hesitate to ask since I'm not perfect and make mistakes often. Designed with Autodesk Fusion 360, sliced using Cura 3.4.1, and printed in PLA on both an Ultimaker 2+ Extended and an Ultimaker 3 Extended.
