Here are a few things about myself that I would like to share with you. My name is Zorvath, but my friends and allies simply call me "The Seeker". My species is known as the Red Skulk, or simply Reds. We hail from the star system of Xarxos. Our homeworld, also called Xarxos-IV, orbits a red-orange main-sequence star in what used to be a dual binary system with two blue giants. It was once one large sun. Over 2 billion years ago those stars collided in spectacular fashion sending shockwaves throughout the system, breaking the original gas clouds into multiple small fragments of varying composition which coalesced and gave rise to many planetary bodies. The collision also knocked Xarxos IV slightly out of its natural orbit. Our planet is about three-quarters Earth's size and has approximately six times Earth's mass, meaning it could very well become a type M supergiant red giant in a billion years if things keep going like they have for the past 6 million or so. However, since that won't be relevant to me anytime soon - not being around by then of course. The star's increased luminosity has resulted in its atmospheric pressure being almost 25% lower than that on Earth due mostly from water loss through thermal venting but mostly carbon dioxide loss also mainly from the very low surface temperature and other atmospheric components' decomposition.
