I have no idea how this happened, but one of the hinge pins on my recycling bin has vanished. My son is probably behind this mischief. Anyway, I had one remaining pin and possess a 3d printer. Print Settings Printer: Monoprice Dual Extruder Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: .20 Infill: 20% Notes: This resolution and infill combination seems perfectly adequate for the PLA I printed with. Time will tell if I should have opted for more infill, but if you do 4+ shells, and 4+ top and bottom layers, the amount of infill doesn't matter much, since the walls of the thing aren't very thick at all. It's essentially solid. How I Designed This First things first, I pulled out my micrometer and took meticulous measurements of the OEM pin. Once I had a good set of readings, I opened up Autodesk 123D Design, and started laying down the parts. The flare on the shaft of the pin near the cap seemed like it flared out slightly, so I replicated that using stacked cones.
