Recurve Bow Stringer
thingiverse
After getting a brand-new bow, I quickly realized that it would be a lot simpler to string it with the help of a proper stringer instead of relying on my own legs. Since I had some spare paracord lying around, I decided to create one on my own. This design is based on most standard stringers out there, but with one key difference: the cap doesn't lock over the limb extremity as tightly, yet it still works perfectly fine for stringing my bow (a 70-inch model with a 40-pound draw weight). I used TPE for this print in an effort to get more "grip" from the parts, but the main reason I would recommend using flexible filament is so you don't risk scratching your limbs. Printer Settings: Printer Brand: RepRap Printer: Prusa i3 Rafts: No rafts were needed Supports: None were required Resolution: 0.2 mm resolution was used Infill: The infill percentage was set to 100% Notes: A flexible filament, TPE, was used for this print.
