Recursive Snowflakes

Recursive Snowflakes

thingiverse

Two snowflake models are provided, one featuring hexagons and another consisting of hypocycloids. The openSCAD code was shared by D J Moews under the Attribution Creative Commons license. Both snowflakes exhibit hexagonal symmetry; however, the hypocycloid version has 6 cusps and is more open but computationally intensive. The STL files for printing are 'recursive_snowflake_hexagons' and 'recursive_snowflake_hypocycloids', accompanied by corresponding SCAD and DXF files. Snowflakes measure approximately 48mm side-length with a 3mm thickness, and can be printed with or without rafts. Laser engravers can utilize the included DXF files.
