Recursive Reuleaux Triangle for FDM
thingiverse
An innovative design for a rolling triangle is derived from user elspeth's input. This complex structure involves a triangle inside two squares, with the outermost square featuring ears aimed at minimizing warping. However, these large, flat ears may result in inevitable warping. Upon request, a version without ears can be provided or you can remove the related line from the SCAD file. The objects should only touch through strings and raft, with a 45-degree slot for easy knife passage. Nonetheless, tolerances could be tight, so manual centering is done to enhance fit. Additionally, this design might trigger issues in skeinforge versions 35 and prior, causing them to skip some or all solid layers on certain parts. Skeinforge 40, conversely, may overfill one layer. Please choose your preferred skeinforge version to avoid such problems.
