Recursive Cat Toy
thingiverse
So, what is a recursive cat toy, you might be asking? Think of the movie Inception, except of having a dream inside a dream inside a dream, you have a ball inside a ball inside a ball inside a ball inside a ball. There are two files, one for the smallest ball, and one for all the other balls. You'll resize three of the four larger balls in your slicer. Each inner ball is 60% of the size of the ball that contains it. Print a total of 5 balls. Print the balls in order by size, starting with the smallest one. Add a color change command to each of the four larger balls at 60% of the ball's height. When the printer pauses for the filament change, drop in the previously printed ball. Then continue printing with the same filament as before. This eliminates the need to glue any pieces together. 1. Print the small ball. 2. Print a large ball at 22% size. Add a color change command at 10.1 mm. 3. Print a large ball at 36% size. Add a color change command at 16.7 mm. 4. Print a large ball at 60% size. Add a color change command at 27.8 mm. 5. Print a large ball at 100% size. Add a color change command at 46.4 mm. This was remixed from dara0s' cat toy: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1024071.
