This ancient monument depicts a cleric reclining in his ornate robes, draped in dawn-colored chasuble. Although no definitive proof exists, it may have originated from the tomb of Abbot Arnau Ramon de Biure, brutally murdered on Christmas Eve in 1351 during a solemn mass. A meticulous stylistic examination points to Pere Moragues as the mastermind behind this masterpiece, a renowned Catalan artist celebrated for his outstanding work in the second half of the 14th century.
