Rectifier holder for string light conversion

Rectifier holder for string light conversion

thingiverse

A simple rectifier holder with a place for a resistor. I used it to convert a string of incandescent string lights over to LED. Sized for this full bridge rectifier: Taiwan Semiconductor TS10K80-A But it will work just fine with this part from Amazon: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07JY59CQL The resistor spot is large enough for a 1W resistor or a Chinese "3W" resistor, whatever it is actually rated for. You should use a filament type that does not support a flame. You probably shouldn't use this at all - it seems pretty unsafe. I put it in shrink wrap, figuring it is better than shrink wrap alone. I designed this with OnShape: https://cad.onshape.com/documents/a158d2a04fa3232ab3cbf882/w/75162ab9fd3ba133b618bb2b/e/9252eba9fa8361903ffa40e2
