Recreus Sneaker II - Gyrobot Remix
thingiverse
I utilized Recreus' Sneaker II design for personalized shoes for my son, making adjustments like lowering the heel and altering the shoelace pitch. The shoe was customized with my own logo and printed in inverse colors from the original. Made of Recreus Elastic FFX filament, it boasts a soft and squishy texture, along with 1.75mm FFX purple laces. Check out the finished product in this video: http://youtu.be/ge0dsxJjvgw. Printed on an Orca 0.4x with specific modifications for flexible filament (http://www.thingiverse.com/make:54389). Support was added for a few bridging areas, and the flow rate was increased by 20% from normal PLA settings. Slic3r settings include a layer height of 0.3, 3 perimeters, 3 top solid layers, 3 bottom solid layers, and a fill density of 20%. For optimal printing speed, the perimeter speed is set at 40, the infill speed at 50, and the travel speed at 120. The nozzle diameter is 0.30mm, and the filament diameter is 1.75mm. Don't forget to scale to suit your needs.
