Recorder Arm Child

Recorder Arm Child

thingiverse

This is a special holder that clips onto a soprano recorder, providing extra support and comfort for the musician's hand. Acting as an additional arm extending from the player's chest, it reduces the effort required to hold the instrument in place. Designed specifically for individuals with limb differences, this innovative adaptation aims to increase accessibility to the world of music through the recorder. When using a wooden soprano recorder, users may want to consider covering the clip with felt to prevent scratching or damage to the instrument's surface. Additionally, users can also cover the other end with foam or another comfortable material for added security and control. The design measures 100 mm in length, equivalent to approximately four inches, making it suitable for elementary students who are just starting to learn how to play the recorder. This custom-made holder was created using Tinkercad, a digital modeling software that allows users to edit and refine their designs online.
