Record Power BS350 bandsaw table insert PETG+TPU
thingiverse
This is an improved version of the table insert for a BS350 band saw (might also fit others). The insert prints upside down. The first layers (3mm) are printed in PETG. The remaining layers are printed in TPU on top. The TPU is responsible for keeping the insert from rotating. The TPU part is slightly wider (0.3mm) to create a tight fit. Slicing and printing: - general settings: Layer height 0.3mm, 4 perimeters, 40% infill - the lower 3mm (of the upside down part) are printed in PETG. - At about 3mm (right where the insert becomes a tiny bit wider) add a color change and replace the PETG by TPU. In order to adjust my printer to the different material settings I made a few tuning changes on the printer right when swapping the material: - speed to 75% - flow to 105% - nozzle 230°C - bed 80°C - fan speed 100 For the set screws: Tap the 4 outer holes using a M6 tap. Insert 4 pcs M6x4mm set screws The insert should be a tight fit. Depending on your printer it might need a tiny bit of sanding (mine did not). Pro tip: If the slot in the insert does not fit the location of your blade, you must adjust the table of your band saw! The table has to be moved slightly (just loosen the bolts) so that the blade enters in the middle of the insert. That's the only valid way to fix this problem. Happy printing! - And then please post a Make! Thank you very much!
