Reconstructed funnel beaker

Reconstructed funnel beaker

myminifactory

A newly reconstructed Early Neolithic funnel beaker from passage grave Fjälkinge 12:1 in Scania catches the eye. The majority of this vessel has been restored using modern clay. Its distinctive V-shape stands out, with wide shoulders and a lower belly that curves smoothly into a flat, slightly convex base. Three rows of oblong pits, created by a small bone or stick, run directly under the rim of the vessel. These decorations add an interesting touch to the overall design. Midori Åstrand, a skilled 3D technician using Xenter Fotogrammetri technology, was responsible for scanning this object. Historiska, The Swedish History Museum, proudly claims ownership of this scanned artifact.
