Reciprocating Wheel and Pins Mechanism

The YouTube video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MSL9WLsn5ME) showcases an intriguing mechanism that appears more like a toy. I was eager to recreate it using Solidworks and Simlab, despite less-than-stellar results. The model mainly relies on contact detection. I utilized Solidworks 2015 for modeling, while Simlab Composer 6 Mechanical Edition handled rendering. For frame editing, Virtualdub was employed, and the resulting AVI/X264 and BMP files were saved. MyMP4BoxGui was used to remux video into MP4 format. Gif creation occurred with Photoscape, while IrfanView facilitated render edits. Both 3D-PDF and ZIM files feature animation and can be viewed on iOS and Android devices via the free Simlab Viewer app. Additional file formats include Simlab Composer 6, DAE, STEP, IGES, STL, Parasolid, OBJ, SketchUp, 3DS, and ZIM, with the model available in Solidworks 2015 format as well.
