Reciprocating rectilinear motion actuator

Check out this video (http://youtu.be/j8raLljA-Kw) demonstrating a 3D-printed reciprocating rectilinear motion actuator similar to those found on http://507movements.com/mm_114.html. This versatile actuator can be operated using a NEMA 17 stepper motor or, with the help of an adapter plate, a geared DC motor. It features interchangeable 5 and 6 mm gears, and it's even possible to create your own bearings by utilizing 2 DVD drive rods and a cut brass tube (4x0.5mm) for a DIY solution. Although the plastic-printed holes are only 3mm in size, the actuator still functions reasonably smoothly.
