Shop Vacuum Hose Adapter

An adapter that was designed for a Rigid Shop Vac to accept a hose with a 2-¼ inch (OD) hose. Only occasionally used, so I printed in PLA. I needed an adapter to go from a Rigid Vacuum to a smaller & longer hose. I did not add a latch to the vacuum to keep the hose in place... the hose is that long and only occasionally used; as they say designing the latch made "the juice not worth the squeeze." The adapter was snug fit so it won't fall out but you probably could not pull the vacuum by pulling on the hose. I have included a STEP file to make modifying the model easier if you have your own favorite CAD software. Shop Vacuums seem to state their nominal hose size and the actual sizes vary. To ensure this model meets your needs I have included the specific dimensions as designed. Printer variations could change the as built size:OD of the cylinder that goes inside the shop vac 67.5 mm (2.66 inch)The female insert ID 53.00 mm (2.09 inch)Hope it is useful.
