Rechargeable Screw Post Lantern Battery

This design empowers its creator to craft a battery housing that seamlessly accommodates both 6V and 12V large screw top lantern batteries. My bespoke design is specifically tailored to function flawlessly with my trusty Ray-O-Vac metal Sportsman lantern, which has been a faithful companion since the mid-60s. To ensure compatibility across various devices, I meticulously adhered to the precise dimensions of the original battery, painstakingly gathered from an exhaustive web search. The resulting design should effortlessly fit any device that utilizes this type of battery. For a 12-volt output, a high-capacity Li-Ion rechargeable battery pack sourced from eBay (and other reputable online retailers) is expertly integrated into the pack. Conversely, to achieve a 6-volt output, a precision-crafted DC Buck converter takes center stage. This design was meticulously conceptualized in Fusion 360 and subsequently sliced with Simplify 3D, resulting in a beautifully crafted and functional battery housing that meets the highest standards of quality and performance.
